Compared with previous models, the AWE280 edge position sensor has enhanced linearity and passline variation sensitivity to enable numerical control of the shift position, greatly reducing the risk of paper damage that can easily occur when unwinding. This sensor has a drip-proof finish of IP54 equivalence which allows it to be used in dusty environments, and it conveniently sends out a warning signal when the glass surface of its detectors becomes dirty and needs cleaning.
